Nancy Popp

Nancy Popp is a performance artist who uses her projects to investigate the body, mind and it's identities in relation to landscape and background.  Most of her work has been in the U.S., she is probably most known for climbing a street pole in front of the Santa Monica Pier.  You can definitely see how she uses comparisons of how small  we really are in the realm of things on this earth.

Here Nancy is shown Climbing a pole on the corner of a street with a huge McDonald's across the street.  Not all her work is climbing poles but she does use her self in most of her works of art because body image is a very strong tool in my opinion.
